Good day Entities! As you progress through the journey home, you encounter many stops along the way. At these stops, you find respite from the pace, time to rest within the contents of your reality and the ability to learn from your path. On your journey you have done many things, thoughts many thoughts and felt many emotions.
Along the way and for various reasons, you have made promises; promises to yourself and promises to others. As children you would often promise to be best friends with little Suzie then the next day promise to be best friends with Beth. As you grow older, you promise to study before you go out to play ball, and do just the opposite. As an adult you promise to work 8 hours for your employer then perhaps “slough” off for two of those. You promise to love and obey as you state your marriage vows but how is love related to obeying?
So the idea of promise is an interesting concept to seek clarity upon. For the concept feels like you are obligating yourself to the assigned outcome of the statement of promise. It sounds like commitment. It sounds undeniable. It sounds firm and unchanging. It sounds, well, human. It sounds like ego is making its move. For though you may offer a promise with every intention of fulfilling it in the moment you make it, when the actuality of the promise is tested, sometimes you simply are not intent on fulfilling it. Is it difficult to break? Ask yourself how difficult it is. Most of you will answer that it depends. It depends on what it is, whom it is made to and what the circumstances are. But if a promise holds the intention of obligation, it also holds the energy of future. A promise is a projection of intention into a future time and space that the promiser commits to fulfill and the promisee then expects.
Now, let’s bring the idea home. Understanding ego will assist greatly in understanding how promises do not hold up to the scrutiny of creation. Your egos are extremely valuable aspects of your physical presence. They were designed to assist in all aspects of the physical functioning and ego is exemplary in that task. When it was that you as a species first entered into this world to explore physicality, you and the ego were companions in a task of joyful exuberance. But simply entering in this physical reality required the lowering of your vibrational frequency to such a degree that forgetfulness ensued. You began to forget your identity as divine source. Your slowed down vibrations “lost” awareness of the connection to source and, feeling the absence of the connection to your own divinity, you began to seek out a means for guidance in the ways of maneuvering spiritually in the physical world. Ego, who had served you so well in the physical, became the likely candidate and offered it assistance. You took it and the breaching of the capacity of ego began. Ego took on a role it simply could not accommodate, but evolved and adapted to the illusion that it could offer guidance on a spiritual basis. Obviously, it could not and so the illusion grew and the ego grew and because you have given your allegiance to the ego, you became more and more disassociated with spirit. And so began a period for mankind in which ego ruled.
Ego thrives in offering the appearance of glory in the future and in lamenting the choices made in the past. It does not work from the Now Moment because love lives in the Now Moment and love and ego do not coexist in the same space. So with ego’s focus in the past and the future, your allegiance to ego consistently takes your energetic focus from the only moment in which your personal power lies. That is the Now Moment where God, your divinity, lives.
So promises are made from ego as promises are always made - with future intent. They are illusory. You could call them soft commitments and they seem so easy to break or change. If promises are illusory, then what is it that is intended in the moment? Commitment. True commitment - that which holds the energy of love and reality and clarity. Commitments are made from the Now moment and in the Now Moment with results and outcomes in the Now Moment holding the true meaning of life. That is called the present and it is the gift of committing to love which is the basis of all life and the foundation of who you are.
When you are in the clarity of the focused moment you hold pinpoint clarity of intention. Then that intention lives in the moment rather than being relegated to some illusory future made from a part of you that cannot know your divine self in the divine now moments of being. So, promises reveal a certain consciousness and spiritual condition. Commitments assert your truth and your intentionality to thrive in God’s moment.
As you think about the promises you have made to yourself over your life, it is staggering how many have been broken. And please, do not feel that you must verbalize that you are promising yourself something in order that it be a promise. When you say I am going to do something, or I will never do that again or I will exercise every day or I will be a better parent, lover, mate, friend, worker, you are making an energetic promise. Remembering that promises are made from your ego state, with illusory results, there is no firm condition of creation from which to launch your creations; there is only a vague idea.
When you make an absolute or energetic promise to yourself or others and you do not uphold that promise, what occurs? You generate guilt. You lose trust in yourself. You establish destructive patterns of behavior and you begin to overwhelm yourselves with a sense of failing in simple everyday things. How can you ever manage to be more, if every time you promise to be more, you come up short. Certainly, you sometimes fulfill your promises or obligations to the your future. Each of you, to various degrees based on personality or self-discipline, will indeed strive to fulfill every promise ever made by you. But at what cost? For when you are living for and in the future, your personal power is not behind the passion of the launch. It may be there for the initial launch of the idea, but because you are operating where there is no personal power, it loses the momentum because your passion is what fuels the excitement to achieve and follow through. When your passion cools because the promise, or soft commitment, did not retain its passionate meaning to you in the moment, then you punish yourself and when you punish you, you are not loving, and when you are not loving you are in fear, and when you are in fear you are about as slowed down on your journey home as you can possibly be.
So change your patterns by the pinpoint clarity of your energetic focus and live in love and light in your Now Moment, operate from your power place and create life in the fashion of committing to the moment. This is no way or fashion negates the potential of creating long-term goals or plans. With these, you are putting forth from the Now Moment the excitement and passion of a dream. When you achieve your dream from a powerful place, you do so from committing your way there in the Now Moment. You do so by loving your way there, continuously creating and responding to the power you hold as God.
I invite you to recapture your truth in the moment and direct your energy to the pinpoint focus of commitment to love and fulfillment of dreams, and glorious interactions will naturally and comfortably ensue. I invite you to remember who you are. I invite you Home. I bid you adieu. With God you are and I am.
